Used on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and super alloys, Prototyp Proto•max™TG (Tough Guys) is available in 2–25 mm dia variants with 3, 4, or 5 cutting edges. Design promotes chip removal, rear cutting edge has reinforced core to promote stability, and carbide substrate provides toughness for counteracting vibration induced fractures to cutting edge. Pre-treatment provides optimum surface for titanium aluminum nitride coating, which helps protect against wear and increase tool life.
