Used for drilling composite fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP)-metal stacks in hole diameter ranges of 3/16–5/8 in., B55_DAL operates with standard through coolant, MQL, or dry. Double-angle point design lends to centering capability, while sharp edge cleanly cuts CFRPs in top layer of stacks and cleanly exits titanium or aluminum side. Stack drill can be applied in all combinations of stacks, and fine-grain solid-carbide Beyond™ KN15™ grade is polished for optimal chip evacuation.
